BT Minimaster 3 System

The BT Minimaster is a small PABX telephone system which will allow 2 lines and up to 10 extensions. Supports single line telephones (SLT's) only with recall button. System allows intercom calls and call transfer. Early models were pulse dialling only but some later versions support tone dialling. Dates from the mid 1980s.

Dennis's Trade Tip: The early versions of the BT Minimaster were pulse dialling (loop disconnect) only. This is a problem when fitted to exchange lines because they are slow dialling out. However, these systems are really robust and make very good internal intercom systems where no outside lines are needed. I've often used them like this in factories or noisy environments because you can use cheap standard phones and loud ringing extension bells such as the Bellset 80D.
