Caller I.D. = Caller identification. Incoming caller's phone number is displayed

L.C.D. = Liquid Crystal Display. Screen on a telephone.

L.J.U. = Line Jack Unit. Telephone socket.

Loop Disconnect = Pulse dialing used on older exchanges and telephone systems

MF Dialing = Tone dialing used on modern exchanges and telephone systems

Multi Frequency Dialing = Tone dialing used on modern exchanges and telephone systems

M.O.H = Music On Hold

O.H.D = On Hook Dailing enables telephone to dial number without lifting handset.

On Hook Dailing = Enables telephone to dial a number without lifting handset.

Plan Set (BT Systems) = Designated telephone to be used on a particular telephone system

POT (Plain Ordinary Telephone) = Ordinary telephone

Proprietary Telephone = Designated telephone to be used on a particular telephone system

Pulse Dialing = Dialing mode used on older exchanges and telephone systems

Single Line Telephone (SLT) = Ordinary telephone

T.B.R. = Time Break Recall. Method of transfering calls used on more modern systems

Test Jack Frame = Connection box or frame used for telephone system's cabling
